Overview
Directs the financial, personnel, facilities, communications and funds procurement operations of the department. Assists the chair (and others) in administering selected academic activities, including the number of courses and related staffing, cost sharing, effort certification, budget process, leave replacement funding, and the teaching assistant budget. Administers departmental appropriated, gift, and endowment accounts. Oversees and participates in the publication of newsletters, brochures, the annual report, and various external surveys. Interviews, hires, assigns workloads, and supervises the administrative support staff.
