Lionel Levine selected a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society

Lionel Levine, the Frank Spitzer and Narahari Umanath Prabhu Associate Professor of , has been named a 2021 Fellow of the American Mathematical Society (AMS).

Levine was invited to join this year’s class of AMS Fellows for contributions to research and exposition in probability theory and combinatorics.

The Department of congratulates Lionel on this honor. Founded in 1888 to further mathematical research and scholarship, the 30,000-member AMS fulfills its mission through programs and services that promote mathematical research and its uses, strengthen mathematical education, and foster awareness and appreciation of mathematics and its connections to other disciplines and everyday life.
