Inna Zakharevich Wins GPSA Faculty Award

Each year, the Graduate and Professional Student Association Faculty Awards recognize outstanding faculty who excel in their teaching, mentorship, and advising of graduate students. This year, one recipient of the award is Assistant Professor and LCP Ho Sesquicentennial Faculty Fellow Inna Zakharevich

In her nomination letter, one current Ph.D. student wrote: "Inna has been a compassionate and involved mentor; an encouraging research advisor; an engaging and challenging teacher; and a friend....During a busy semester, I once suggested that our meetings didn’t need to take a full hour, given that we frequently spend at least half of the time just chatting. Inna refused to spend any less time with me, saying: 'The only reason I made it through grad school was my weekly hour talking about video games or whatever with my advisor.' I concur — I don’t think I would have made it this far in grad school without her."

Congratulations to Dr. Zakharevich on this award!
