Congratulations, Graduates!

Congratulations, 2021 Grads!

On rainy Friday, May 28, 2021, we all stayed dry at the Department's Zoom graduation ceremony (COVID edition).  In all, 60 graduating seniors, 4 graduating Ph.D. students, and many parents, professors, and friends joined the Zoom to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating students.  While we would have preferred to honor the graduates in person, a silver lining was that family and friends could join the ceremony from Louisiana, London, Singapore, and China (information collected in the Zoom chat!).  This year, we honored 13 students earning Ph.D.s in 2021, 9 students who earned Ph.D.s in 2020, and 106 students who earned Bachelor’s degrees in 2020-21 (up from 96 in 2019-20).  We take great pride in their accomplishments.  It has been our privilege to guide them and to learn from them.

Congratulations to you all and keep in touch!
